I am grateful to the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, and his mindfulness-based stress reduction approach, which many people find helpful. You will learn basic mindfulness techniques to apply throughout your day. These are incremental change prescriptions, e.g. small behaviors that gradually help to shift your feelings and perceptions.
If you find it difficult to implement these techniques, we will spend time uncovering what obstacles are interfering with your progress toward optimal health. We may conduct mindful exercises together in our sessions. It is my intention that You will find my presence to be both a catalyst and a support, without judgment or censure.
